Trees covered in blossom flowers
Yellow daffodils sway in the breeze
I could watch the spring bloom forever
Colouring a new world with ease
Fields of green shimmer in the sun
Flowers of beauty and rainbow bright
Evenings basking in the setting sun
Summer is such a pure delight
Crispy golden leaves crunch underfoot
Winds whipping trees to make them bare
Late summer flowers close their heads
All the reds and yellows no longer there
White flakes of angel’s tears fall
Covering with its blanket of white
Orange flames in warm log fires
Chase the cold on long winter nights.
These colours are there every day
But do we take the time to see?
The beauty of the hues all around
Are there always for you and for me.
