We all know how close we are to our beloved pets and how sad we feel when they
get sick or die.
Our pets can become as loved as children sometimes, so why not have a poem

Jade my sweet faithful old friend
i hoped having you close would never end
but years they passed, you grew old
my memories of you are worth pure gold

when i was sad you nudged me with your nose
Now when i walk i wander all alone
i have no companion to follow me home

you leaving has left me totally bereft
no other so good will walk by my side
