Yesterday, i was but a girl
All frilly dresses and tiny curl
Suddenly everything changed
I rounded out and weight i gained
Over months my belly expanded
Gifts arrived, open handed
All my girly things are put away
Another girl will use one day
Then came the day the pain began
Excitement and fear hand in hand
The hardest work i ever knew
But worth it just to deliver you
