Bereavement poetry
Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
Mary Frye 1932
A beautifully penned poem by mary frye, softens the blow losing a loved one can
bring.
And so can ease saying goodbye, i love you, to someone you lose
Allow me to write your words of goodbye, in a gentle loving poem.
Or maybe you would prefer a celebration of the life of the departed,
a poem to always remember the good and happy times you shared. Let me find
the right word for your Bereavement and funeral poem.
Please contact me with details of the person
you wish to remember or say goodbye to,
and i will write your poem especially for you.
A picture in words to keep for all time.
You passed over to a special place
where you can kiss my nannas face
And you will be never again alone
because my grandad welcomes you home
You left me here, but i'll not cry
because i know this isnt goodbye
Its simply freedom from lifes pain
until the time i can see you again.
